Marine Electrical Technician

Annapolis

Position Overview:

  • Design, installation and repair on all makes/aspects of marine electrical and electronic systems
  • Perform testing and sea trials as required
  • Research information required to successfully complete work orders
  • Develop material lists for project completion
  • Work is completed under minimal supervision of a team leader or manager
  • Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements and review critical details as needed
  • Travel to marinas and private slips within service range (approx 30 minutes)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Complete service reports accurately and submit them in a timely manner
  • Contribute to business growth and improvement initiatives
  • Assist other teams as needed.  Cross training available if desired.
 

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in marine electrical systems operation, design, installation and repair
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting and creating wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Knowledge of safety hazards, proper PPE and safe working practices
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
  • Certification(s) from ABYC, NMEA or OEM’s preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
 

Pay Range:   $27.00 – $35.00

Marine Mechanic

Annapolis

Position Overview:

  • Service, repairs and replacements on all marine engine makes/types and mechanical systems (gas, diesel, inboard, I/O, outboard)
  • Routine and interval maintenance
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair
  • Perform testing and sea trials as required
  • Research information required to successfully complete work orders
  • Develop material lists for project completion
  • Winterizations and Commissioning’s
  • Work is completed under minimal supervision of a team leader or manager
  • Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements and review critical details as needed
  • Travel to marinas and private slips within service range (approx 30 minutes)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Complete service reports accurately and submit them in a timely manner
  • Contribute to business growth and improvement initiatives

  • Skilled at interpreting and utilizing information from operating, maintenance and service manuals/bulletins
  • Working knowledge of boats electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of safety hazards, proper PPE and safe working practices
  • Efficient and methodical in troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
  • Certification(s) from ABYC or Engine Manufacturers preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
 

Pay Range:   $30.00 – $40.00

Experienced Marine Systems Technician

Annapolis

Position Overview:

  • Design, install, service, repair, or replace marine systems on yachts ranging from 20 – 130 feet.
  • Marine system responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Electrical systems and electronic components
    • Air conditioning, heating, and cooking systems
    • Potable, gray, and black water systems, storage tanks, and plumbing
    • Propulsion and generator fuel, cooling, control, and vessel steering systems
    • Ventilation and safety systems
  • Daily miscellaneous duties and responsibilities:
    • Job organization to include scheduling, material acquisition, execution, and follow-up
    • Troubleshooting and diagnosis, and repair
    • Local travel (approx. 30-minute one-way max)
    • Customer communication
    • System or parts research
    • Testing and sea trials
    • Accurate and on-time timecards and photo submissions
    • Truck and shop organization – maintaining clean and safe workspaces
    • Contribute to business growth and improvement initiatives
    • Assist others as needed
 

Position Requirements:

  • Skilled in marine systems operation, design, installation, and repair
  • Independent, trustworthy, and require minimal supervision
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; excellent attention to detail
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Good computer skills
  • Safe work habits – a personal priority with knowledge of safety standards, potential hazards, wearing proper PPE, and consistently exhibiting safe working practices
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills, a desire to learn, and helpful to others
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Certification(s) from ABYC, NMEA, or OEM’s preferred

Experienced Marine Fiberglass & Awlgrip Paint Craftsman

















Baltimore

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for all aspects of fiberglass fabrication and repairs including gelcoat and paint
  • Small cosmetic repairs to large structural projects
  • Identification of root cause of failures and determination of proper repair method
  • Work is completed under minimal supervision of a team leader or manager
  • Daily miscellaneous duties and responsibilities:
    • Customer communication
    • Accurate and on-time timecards and photo submissions
    • Truck and shop organization – maintaining clean and safe workspaces
    • Contribute to business growth and improvement initiatives
    • Assist others as needed
 

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in gelcoat repairs, matching, sanding and buffing
  • Proficient in building small molds and plugs
  • Knowledge of poly, vinyl and epoxy resins
  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation, evaluation and application of coating systems
  • Knowledge of safety hazards, proper PPE and safe working practices
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills, a desire to learn, and helpful to others
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
