While returning from New England in July, 2014 on our Sabre 42 Express powerboat, “SHIBUMI”, we experienced significant fiberglass and gelcoat damage while attempting to enter a marina on the Mannesquan River in NJ during a heavy current in the midst of a violent thunderstorm.

Upon returning to Annapolis, we interviewed several marine contractors, including Tom Kicklighter of Diversified Marine Services , requesting bids to repair the boat. Within a couple of days, Tom had examined the boat and prepared a detailed , written cost estimate which we accepted.

Within a few more days, “SHIBUMI” was in DMS’s tent undergoing the specified repairs. Tom kept us completely informed every step of the way with emails and photos. In addition, he immediately informed us of any costs in excess of the estimate, which, by the way, totaled 6.3% of the estimate.

The work was completed in the agreed upon time to our complete satisfaction. The boat is painted in Flag Blue Awlgrip. The gelcoat/paint repairs perfectly blend in with the original paint. The fiberglass repairs look terrific.

We were very pleased with the entire DMS crew, timeliness in completing the repairs and with the quality of the overall work. We would recommend DMS without hesitation.
